General Information

GIRDER-SLAB® Technologies, LLC is neither a subcontractor or material supplier. They inform design and construction professionals, supply design tools and details, and assist the engineer of record on an as needed basis. GIRDER-SLAB® set out to develop a more efficient structural steel-based framing system for mid and high-rise residential construction. Utilizing proven materials that have long been accepted by the construction industry, each GSS is designed by the owner’s architect and structural engineer.

The GIRDER-SLAB® System is a unique steel and precast composite system that uses disymmetric beams (D-Beams) that support precast plank on the bottom flange. The beams act compositely with the grouted planks providing a floor system depth nominally equal to the plank depth, and thus achieving low floor-to-floor heights making it ideal for use in mid to high-rise residential structures. Off-site prefabricated components are quickly assembled in place at the job site with one small crew of skilled tradespeople, with limited weather impact. No formwork or shoring is needed. The combined frames are lighter than cast-in-place concrete which can also result in foundation savings.

The OSCO Construction Group has the unique advantage of being able to supply and install both structural steel, as well as precast concrete products; an ideal situation for building frames designed using the GIRDER-SLAB© system, which requires extremely close collaboration between steel and precast suppliers.
