The Pickering Heritage and Community Centre in Ontario is an ambitious project that aims to celebrate the city’s rich history while providing a modern, dynamic space for the community. This 44,000-square-foot facility, currently under development, will integrate a museum, library, and community centre into one cohesive hub. Located at the Pickering Museum Village site, it will serve as a new visitor center and replace aging infrastructure. The center will feature an exhibit gallery, program rooms, a multipurpose hall, and outdoor spaces like an art garden and patio. It will also house over 11,000 artifacts, the city’s archives, and the library’s local history collection in climate-controlled storage. Designed to be zero-carbon, the facility reflects Pickering’s commitment to sustainability. By preserving local heritage and fostering cultural engagement, the center is set to become a cornerstone of community life in Pickerin
